Technology Platform

Progenra is focused exclusively on drug discovery utilizing the ubiquitin and ULP pathways. We have developed and are continuing to expand on proprietary assays for the discovery of potent and selective therapeutic agents that affect targets in these pathways.
By screening small-molecule libraries and natural product extract collections with these assays, we have identified several potent inhibitors of various ubiquitin and UBL isopeptidases. We are also developing novel screening assays for ubiquitin ligases associated with cancer, Parkinson’s Disease, muscle wasting, and osteoporosis. 

To assist in drug discovery, virtual screening assays and rational drug design projects are being undertaken.  Our unique high-throughput drug screening assays have been configured and validated using proprietary technology for enhanced protein expression, purification, and engineering.
