Business Models
Progenra is interested in broadening the distribution of our HTS technologies within the scientific community. We believe that the ubiquitin field is rich in targets for innovative drug discovery and we are committed to applying our technology platform and compounds to a wide variety of therapeutic areas, therefore:
Progenra is keen to allow its HTS platforms and lead candidates to be licensed for partner in-house development programs, and invites enquiries from organizations for licensing and co-development opportunities.
We also seek discussions on in-licensing technologies and/or compounds that are complementary to Progenra’s internal development strategy.
Progenra HTS technologies for de-ubiquitylases and ubiquitin ligases are currently being practiced in several federal and academic laboratories.
Please contact the Progenra Business Development team for inquiries: bd@progenra.com
In light of the broad application of our HTS technology and lead compounds, we are open to discussion of business relationship models:
Collaborations:
To facilitate the application of Progenra’s HTS technology platforms for DUBs and ubiquitin ligases, Progenra will license these patented platforms to companies for their in-house screening. Progenra will make its ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like-protein (UBL) reagents, reporter assays, and target enzymes available to collaborator companies for HTS of their internal screening compound collections.
Partnership:
Progenra has advanced many targets (DUBs as well as ubiquitin ligases) through comprehensive screening. Progenra possesses the largest selection of DUBs and ubiquitin ligases available to monitor selectivity for compound hits. We believe that the key to success in developing novel compounds is the ability to perform in vitro selectivity assays to eliminate compounds that are likely to fail in the clinic.
Progenra will bring its comprehensive array of DUBs and ubiquitin ligases to profile a compound that is selective for the desired target. The power of the Progenra enzyme repertoire and HTS platform is the single most important rationale that will facilitate the discovery of agents that are most likely to succeed in clinic.
Progenra is seeking a mutually beneficial business model where it will establish a partnership that will allow a company to use all of the Progenra’s tools to discover development compounds from the partner’s and Progenra’s in-house chemistry capability.
Compound Licensing:
Progenra is seeking alliances with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical partners to co-develop or inlicense Progenra’s lead compounds. Due to our ability to internally progress only a limited number of unique targets in the ubiquitin pathway, we seek collaborations with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical partners. Progenra’s unique technology and expertise provides insight on novel drug targets allowing our partner companies to leapfrog competitors in therapeutic areas of interest.
Academic Collaborations:
Progenra recognizes that the power of its de-ubiquitylase and ligase technology program cannot be harnessed only by drug industry. Progenra actively seeks academic laboratories that are keen to utilize Progenra technologies for investigating functions of novel or known de-ubiquitylases and ligases.
Under a well-defined agreement Progenra will also share its compound bank as probes to advance the science of ubiquitin.
For academic collaborations with Progenra or to apply to use Progenra tool compounds and capabilities, please provide basic information so our Business Office can communicate with you.
