Progenra is at the forefront in the discovery of innovative medicines modifying the ubiquitin pathway: enabled by novel targets, superior platform technologies and in-house medicinal chemistry facilities.
Progenra is creating and developing new medicines aimed at specific targets in the ubiquitin pathway: validated targets associated with cancers, neurodegenerative diseases, muscle-wasting diseases, osteoporosis, infectious and metabolic diseases .

 The human genome encodes approximately 100 de-ubiquitylase genes, of which Progenra has expressed and characterized nearly 80 members of the de-ubiquitylase family. No other company has accomplished this task.
Progenra is invested in novel platform technologies devoted to ubiquitin pathway drug targets such as ubiquitin ligases and de-ubiquitylases (DUBs). Progenra’s assay technologies mimic faithfully the function of ubiquitin ligases and de-ubiquitylases.
Progenra has selected validated ubiquitin pathway targets, with high potential therapeutic value, for development of High Throughput Screening (HTS) of chemicals.

Progenra Partnership
Progenra has invested in creating proprietary platform technologies devoted to ubiquitin pathway drug targets: ubiquitin ligases and de-ubiquitylases (DUBs). The major reasons for building our own drug discovery infrastructure were:
- i) the ubiquitin field is relatively young
- ii) ubiquitin pathway-related technologies and assays are either undeveloped or inadequate (See details in R&D section).
Pioneers of the ubiquitin field are advisors to Progenra pre-clinical and clinical programs.
The ubiquitin pathway contains a plethora of novel therapeutic targets. Progenra’s ability to discover novel structures with our high throughput assays has created several opportunities for establishing partnerships with other companies. Progenra is interested in discussing:
Discovery Collaborations with companies wanting to develop HTS of their internal compound libraries.
Co-development Partnerships with companies seeking the power of Progenra’s repertoire of enzymes and HTS platforms that will enable the selection of chemicals that are most likely to succeed in clinic.
Compound Licensing with Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical companies, who are interested in co-development or licensing our investigational compounds.
Academic Collaborations with laboratories, which are keen to utilize Progenra’s HTS platforms for discovering further functions of novel or known de-ubiquitylases and ligases.
